You have decided that roleplay may be worth a shot?

Agile roleplay game framework

Basically, it’s a roleplay using a wheel or mandala, with, depending on purpose a currently perceived situation, perhaps a desired state and a transformation between the two … and all the chaos and experimentation and exploration needed.

  • The wheel or organisational mandala represents “commonly distinguished” elements in human organisations. As such, it is highly related to Gestalt theory and practices. The roleplay can be based on a metaphor that is exciting and fun for participants in a particular organisational context, we set up a game wheel and pick a fitting choreography (dependent on purpose of sculpting and customer en participant preferences).
  • The narrative is formed from, for example, information and stories gained using appreciative inquiry or focused conversation in the organisational context. We think these through using a map first, of course, together with some key people from the organisation.
  • Facilitating the resulting roleplay requires roleplay facilitation skills: Organisational Sculpting (pdf)
